The Rally SLRT-28R Self-Loading Reel Trailer is built to give telecom and power crews a more efficient way to load, transport, and work with large reels in the field. One of the biggest advantages of the SLRT-28R is its ability to load a reel directly from ground level.
Rather than depending on a forklift or another piece of equipment to place the reel onto the trailer, the SLRT-28R uses its self-loading system to pick up the reel and position it for transport and operation.
For crews moving from one jobsite to the next, that means less equipment to coordinate, fewer steps in the loading process, and a more efficient way to get ready for the job.

That means crews can utilize the SLRT-28R’s hydraulic system to operate compatible fiber-placing equipment instead of bringing an additional hydraulic power source to the jobsite.

The SLRT-28R features a swinging rear control arm that allows the operator to reposition the controls for a better view of the reel during operation.

5. Roller Bar — Built for Heavy Reels
With an 8,000 lb lifting capacity, the SLRT-28R is built to handle demanding reel applications.
Its 2-5/8″ roller bar uses bronze bearings to reduce the coefficient of friction, allowing the reel to rotate more smoothly and helping crews deploy material with greater control.
Combined with center cones and clamp-style bar collars, the reel-handling system helps keep the reel properly positioned while providing smooth, controlled material payout and respooling.
